Every monsoon, Mumbai braces itself for flooding, and the Mithi River often lies at the centre of the crisis. This year was no different, with the river overflowing into Kranti Nagar in Kurla, displacing hundreds of residents. But why does this 18-kilometre stretch of water cause so much damage?
